Cristiano Ronaldo insists there is a lot more glory to come from for the “extraordinary” Juventus after winning his first Serie A title.

The Portuguese superstar reached another new landmark on Saturday by becoming the first player to win league titles in England, Spain and Italy.

Juventus were crowned Serie A champions for the eighth season in a row upon defeating Fiorentina 2-1 at Turin, with five games still left to play.

After Alex Sandro’s header cancelled out Nikola Milenkovic’s opening goal for Juventus, Ronaldo then had a decisive impact when his cross was put into the Fiorentina goal by their own defender German Pezzella.

It sealed a welcome victory for Juventus, who had been on a three-match winless run prior to the weekend, and a first Italian league title for Ronaldo.

Later on, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner promised Juventus supporters that this is “only the beginning”.

“Champions of Italy! I am proud to have contributed to the history of this exceptional club which really wanted me and which I am proud to play for,” Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram.

“I am happy. We dominated a difficult league. We fought, all together. We are a strong and extraordinary group. And this is only the beginning. Grande Juve!”

Ronaldo, who has managed 26 goals and 13 assists in 39 appearances for Juventus this season, also confirmed he will definitely not be leaving in the summer.

The 34-year-old will likely be looking to end his debut campaign on a high by banging in a few more goals in Juventus’ final five matches.

As things stand, Ronaldo is just three goals adrift of the Serie A’s leading scorer Fabio Quagliarella in the race for the Capocannoniere crown.

Next up for Juventus will be the Derby d’Italia against Inter Milan the following weekend at the San Siro.
